Our blog is now LIVE! So this post will encapsulate everything that has happened in the past 4 weeks for our year 9/10 boarding boys.

Isaac Sykes and Chayseton Mullholland showing their smiles after winning the MCS basketball competition, well done boys.
The boys participated very well in the College swimming carnival
An initiative brought in by our new Director of Boarding Luke is a vertical
teams system. Boys across years 7-12 have been placed into 6 different teams and have opportunities to accumulate points for their team. They can gain points through academic awards, positive merits, green stamps, mini competitions each week and our main term activity, this term we are participating in a 5-week OzTag competition. The boys have been loving the opportunity to play with each other, next term we will be looking at a basketball competition.

The boys were lucky enough to go to an NRL trial game a couple weekends ago, Tigers v Roosters. Some boys were even luckier to get a photo with a St Greg’s Old Boy James Tedesco.
Our year 9 boys got to experience a great night for the Rite Journey ceremony, thank you to all parents/carers who made themselves available for the night whether physically or on the phone. It was a special night and the boys did their parents and myself proud!

We celebrated January and February birthdays with our catering company Chartwells baking a HUGE cake for the boys to celebrate. The boys also received a block of chocolate and an individual cupcake with a candle lit as the boarding school sung them happy birthday.

Our boys have a big finish to the term with many assessments due over the next couple of weeks. Please see below the assessment schedules for year 9 and 10, talk to your boys about their assessments to ensure they are on track. Please contact me also if you think he is struggling or behind in any subjects or assessments so I can give them further help during study.
