Our boys have been right in the thick of most of their assessment tasks due in past 2 weeks. They have been completing double study Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights to ensure they complete their homework and assessments on time.

The boys have had tutors come in to help them with understanding content for upcoming exams. Can I also applause our Alfred and Edgar house supervisors who have had an active role in reading over many of the boys hand in assessment tasks. A special thanks to Rebecca Burke (old house supervisor and learning support teacher) who helped the year 10 boys getting their heads around the English assessment task.
Our Rugby clinic took place last weekend where all boys were introduced to their teams and went over pivotal drills and training to get them ready for the upcoming season. Our 16s boys were lucky enough to train with the top squad and be coached by Mr Halaifonua, Mr Malaesilia and Mr Nelson. Our junior boys were trained by all junior coaches on the Saturday and had some fun bonding and learning structure of the game.
Our OzTag competition has been put on hold while the boys complete their assessments. The semi finals and final will be played in the final week of term!
In week 8 we had under 13s and 15s Temora Dragons Rugby League teams visit us in the hill. This was unfortunately the weekend the rain came! Nonetheless, we got the games in and had a great time in the mud. Gene Wighton, Mason Rope, Daniel Canellis, Isaac Sykes and Jack McDonald got to have a run in the game where our boy came away winners.

The boys were also suppose to play a trial that weekend against Marist Canberra which was unfortunately washed out. So I ran the junior boys through a fitness

session on Saturday morning. We finished off with a tug of war competition where Ky (Yr 7), Jackson (Yr 8), Chayse (Yr 9) and Rory (Yr 10) came from behind to take the title of strongest juniors!
In week 9 our boys were treated to a Go-Kart outing at Ultimate Karting Sydney. The boys had a great time tearing around the indoor track. The Minehan brothers came
away with the victory with much to controversy, claims that it was only biggest they’re the lightest haha. But they came away with the chocolates.

A special congratulations to Archie Nott in year 9 who has been training hard for his athletics season. Archie made it to state and took Gold in the 800m and 1500m in his age group, this is a magnificent reward for his hard work. Archie will compete in Nationals over the holidays, we wish him good luck.

I apologise for not being personally available for all parents and boys over the past couple of weeks. Unfortunately my appendix burst and I ended up in hospital getting emergency surgery. After a week in hospital and a week recovering home I am thankfully nearly back to 100%. I would like to thank our Director Luke Morrissey who has been front and centre ensuring the boys have finished the term of strong.
